Tom Liguori brings over forty years of experience utilizing municipal, state and federal tools in his land use, planning and zoning practice. Mr. Liguori has a broad range of success including representing owners of single-family homes who required local regulatory agency approvals, and handling major commercial development, like famed Ocean House, Rhode Island, and educational facilities.

Project approvals Mr. Liguori has spearheaded include nearly every permit issued by the State of Rhode Island. For example, the demolition and replacement of Ocean House required every permit administered by Rhode Island Department of Environmental Management Division of Water Resources as well as municipal and other permits.

Mr. Liguori’s projects regularly receive bonding, grants, and tax credits. He has worked closely with various state agencies and commissions including Rhode Island Historical Preservation & Heritage Commission, and the Rhode Island Division of Taxation.
Our attorneys work with clients whose projects require brownfield and other environmental remediation, controls, and oversight.
We regularly work with appraisers, architects, structural, geotechnical, environmental, mechanical, civil and other engineers and experts, including forensic consultants.

We have successfully handled lawsuits to quiet title, involving easements, prescriptive easements and adverse possession, as well as cases involving nuisance, interference with subjacent lateral support, interference with developmental rights, negligence, and fraud.
