Biography

Taylor Dean focuses her practice on labor and employment law, land use law, and general commercial law. She recognizes that the legal issues that bring clients to her door often have a knock-on effect on their businesses, financial interests, and personal lives. She prides herself on taking a holistic approach to advising clients on the intersection of these matters.

Ms. Dean graduated from New York University in 2010. Prior to law school, she worked in the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office’s Witness Aid Services Unit, where she saw first-hand the ways in which the legal system often complicates, rather than resolves, problems for individuals who lack adequate legal counsel. The experience crystalized for her the need for passionate, accessible, effective representation. Determined to make an impact, she attended law school and graduated from Fordham University School of Law in 2015, cum laude, as a Ruth Whitehead Whaley Scholar and recipient of the Archibald R. Murray Public Service Award.

Prior to joining Urso, Liguori and Micklich, P.C., Ms. Dean worked for an international law firm in its New York and London offices, where she represented clients in complex commercial litigation and criminal matters in state and federal court, as well as in multi-jurisdictional investigations by the U.S. Department of Justice, the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office, and the U.K.’s Serious Fraud Office.

Ms. Dean is a member of the firm’s Mystic office. She is a native of Westerly, RI.
